GoFood Transactions Grow Double above the Industry

Dokuj.com – The transaction value of GoFood in Indonesia is reported to have increased above the average for the Southeast Asian food delivery industry due to the growth in the number of loyal customers and the increase in the average transaction value per customer in the second half of 2022.

Compared to 2021, the transaction value of GoFood Indonesia and Vietnam managed to grow more than double the average food delivery industry in Southeast Asia in 2022.

GoFood’s positive performance in 2022 is said to be supported by an increase in the proportion of loyal customers in Indonesia from 38% to 52% of the total number of GoFood customers. The positive trend of the GoFood business in Indonesia is followed by the GoFood business in Vietnam, where the transaction value has more than doubled compared to 2021.

Director/Head of Food and Indonesia Sales & Ops PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia, Tbk Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo said that every innovation at GoFood focuses on developing product solutions so that customers are more loyal.

“Customers have different food consumption desires and behaviors. Armed with our eight years of experience as experts in the OFD market, we analyze and utilize data to map the needs of each customer (personalization) so that we can present the right choices so that consumers will be more loyal to our services,” he said.

Throughout 2022, GoFood has successfully carried out various initiatives that provide solutions to customer needs and support business growth. The Savings Mode, for example, is here to provide more affordable shipping cost options to maintain customer purchasing power.

In addition, GoFood also launched a menu with smaller portions at more affordable prices. Furthermore, GoFood PLUS subscription packages are also increasingly receiving positive feedback from the public, where the number of subscription packages has increased by almost 60% compared to the previous year.

In line with what is presented to customers, GoFood also maintains the sustainability of the ecosystem so that culinary business partners can continue to develop their business, including through the Joint Kitchen which is a service cloudkitchen to encourage the expansion of business partners and bring customers closer to their favorite culinary delights.

In 2022, amidst the rise of services cloudkitchen which went out of business in the OFD industry, the number of GoFood Joint Kitchens actually increased by 170% compared to 2021, namely to 73 Shared Kitchen locations spread across 12 major cities in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the number of GoFood culinary business partners in Indonesia in 2022 will increase by 45% compared to 2021.
